Moremi Game Reserve Botswana Safari Guide
Moremi Game Reserve is one of the best wildlife areas in Botswana, located within the Okavango Delta. It protects a mix of floodplains, lagoons, woodlands, and dry areas, making it one of the most diverse safari destinations in Africa.
Unlike many parts of the delta that focus on water safaris, Moremi offers both land and water based experiences, which allows visitors to see a wide range of wildlife.

How to Reach Moremi Game Reserve
By air: Fly to Maun, the main gateway to the Okavango region. From Maun, take a light aircraft flight to airstrips such as Xakanaxa or Chief’s Island. These flights are commonly arranged by safari lodges and offer quick access to remote areas.
By road: Moremi can be reached from Maun by 4×4 vehicle, usually taking 4 to 6 hours depending on the route and conditions. Roads are sandy and can be difficult, especially during the wet season, so self drive requires experience. Guided transfers are recommended for most visitors.
