Luxury Big Cat Photography Safari
One passion, two continents, Six big cats
Big cats reward patience and good light. India gives you tigers among ruins and forest, leopards on granite and snow leopards in the Himalaya. Africa gives you lions, leopards and cheetahs on open plains.
We plan each trip around the photograph you want. Then we pick the park, the month and the lodge to match.

Choose by the cat you most want to photograph, then we match the park, season and camp.
Bengal tiger
Ranthambore, Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Tadoba
India’s tiger reserves offer some of the best chances in the world to see wild tigers in forest and grassland light.
African Lion
Masai Mara, Serengeti, Etosha
Prides on open plains, cubs at dawn and big males on termite mounds make classic frames.
Leopard
Masai Mara, Serengeti, Jawai
Look for leopards in riverine trees in Africa, and on granite hills around Jawai in Rajasthan.
Cheetah
Masai Mara, Serengeti
Open grassland gives clean backgrounds for hunting, stalking and cubs on a vehicle bonnet.
Asiatic Lion
Sasan Gir
The only wild home of the Asiatic lion, in dry deciduous forest quite unlike the African savanna.
Snow Leopard
Ladakh Himalaya
A winter, patience-led expedition to the cold high valleys, with spotting scopes and long lenses.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which is better for big cat photography, India or Africa?
Neither wins outright. Africa gives you open plains, wide light and easy lion and cheetah frames. India gives you tigers, Asiatic lions and snow leopards, plus forest and ruin settings. Choose by the cat you want most.
Where can I photograph tigers in the wild?
Wild tigers live in India and a few other Asian countries, but not in Africa. Ranthambore and Bandhavgarh are two strong choices for tiger photography in India.
When is the best time for a big cat photography safari?
Most Indian parks run from October to June, and snow leopard trips run from January to March. Africa works year round, with the dry season from June to October giving easier sightings.
Can I customise the itinerary?
Yes. Tell us the cats you want, your dates and your comfort level, and we’ll tailor the route, camps and number of days.
