About Magashi Camp
Magashi Camp is located in the northeastern part of Akagera National Park in Rwanda. The camp sits near Lake Rwanyakazinga, an area known for high wildlife density. This zone supports lion, elephant, and other large mammals. The landscape includes open plains, wetlands, and lakes.
The camp features a small number of canvas tents positioned along the lakeshore. Each unit is raised on a wooden deck. The layout is spaced for privacy and uninterrupted views. The design follows a low-impact safari style.

Location and How to Reach
Magashi Camp is located in the northeastern sector of Akagera National Park near Lake Rwanyakazinga.
- By air – Fly to Kigali International Airport, then continue by road or charter flight
- By road – Drive from Kigali to Akagera, then proceed through the park to the camp
