About Virunga Lodge
Virunga Lodge is located on a ridge near Volcanoes National Park in northern Rwanda. The lodge overlooks the Virunga volcanoes and nearby lakes. This area provides access to mountain gorilla trekking routes. The setting includes high-altitude forest and open hillside views.
The lodge features bandas built from stone and thatch. Units are positioned along the ridge for wide views. Each banda faces the volcanoes and lakes. The design is simple with locally sourced materials.

- By air – Fly to Kigali International Airport, followed by a road transfer
- By road – Drive from Kigali to Kinigi, then continue to the lodge area
