This 4-day Amboseli safari offers a front-row view of Kenya’s wildlife and iconic landscapes. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds, and you’ll often see them crossing open plains with Mount Kilimanjaro rising in the background. Along the way, watch for lions resting in the grasslands, zebras and wildebeest grazing, and giraffes browsing on acacia trees. Hippos, buffalo, cheetahs, and a wide variety of birdlife also call this park home.
Your experience goes beyond wildlife. You’ll also have the chance to learn about Maasai culture through traditional dances, stories, and beautifully crafted beadwork.
From Our Safari Expert: Kilimanjaro’s peak is usually visible on clear mornings. The best time for photography is between 6:00 and 7:00 AM before the clouds build up.

Amboseli Short Trip – Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival and Afternoon Safari
Your trip begins in Nairobi. Our driver will pick you up from the airport and give you a short briefing about the tour. You will then drive to Amboseli via the Nairobi–Mombasa highway. The journey takes about 3–4 hours and offers views of open landscapes, small towns, and local markets.
Once you reach your lodge, settle in and enjoy lunch. After a short rest, head out for your first game drive. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds, and seeing them with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background is unforgettable. You’ll also see zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and more. End the day with dinner at the lodge and relax as you soak in the quiet evening.
Day 2 : Full Day Adventure in Amboseli
Start your day with an early breakfast and pick up your packed lunch. Spend the morning exploring the park while the light is perfect for photography. You’ll see elephants, hippos, buffalo, and many bird species. Stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot.
In the afternoon, continue with another game drive. As the weather cools, animals move around more, giving you a better chance to see lions or cheetahs.
Return to the lodge for dinner and rest. Enjoy the sounds of the African night.
Day 3: Cultural Visit and Sunset Game Drive
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge. Later, visit a local Masai village to learn about their culture, daily life, and traditions. You can see their beadwork, dances, and homesteads, and buy handmade souvenirs if you like. Head back to the lodge for lunch and some downtime.
In the late afternoon, go for a sunset game drive. The golden light makes the views of Kilimanjaro even more beautiful. Look for elephants heading to the swamps, predators starting to move, and antelopes grazing. Return to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful evening.
Day 4: Morning Safari and Departure
Wake up early for a final morning game drive. Dawn is the best time to see wildlife as animals are most active. You may spot lions on the hunt, hyenas heading back to their dens, and herds of elephants walking through the open plains.
Return to the lodge for breakfast. After checking out, begin your drive back to Nairobi. You can stop at viewpoints along the way for photos and a quick stretch.
Your safari ends with drop-off at the airport or your Nairobi hotel. You leave with beautiful memories of Amboseli’s wildlife and landscapes.

Cancellation Policy
- If cancellation requested before 120 days (or more) prior to departure, Full refund.
- If cancellation requested before 60 days (or more) prior to departure – 75% of the tour cost will be refunded.
- If cancellation requested before 45 to 59 days prior to departure – 50% of the tour cost will be refunded.
- If cancellation requested before 30 to 44 days prior to departure – 25% of the tour cost will be refunded.
- If cancellation requested before 15 to 29 days prior to departure – 10% of the tour cost will be refunded.
- If cancellation requested less than 15 days prior to departure, No Show – No Refund.
