Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and afternoon safari in Bandhavgarh
Start from New Delhi with a flight or train to Jabalpur. From here, drive to Bandhavgarh National Park through forested areas and small villages.
After check in and lunch, head out for your first afternoon jeep safari. Bandhavgarh is known for one of the highest tiger densities in India, so sightings can happen early in the trip. Return to the lodge by evening.
Day 2 & 3: Early morning tracking and evening wildlife drive in Bandhavgarh
Spend two full days with morning and evening safaris in different zones of the park. Your guide tracks tigers using alarm calls and fresh pugmarks.
Bandhavgarh offers strong chances to see Bengal tigers, along with leopards, sloth bears, wild boar and large groups of spotted deer. The park also has historic ruins and rocky terrain which add to the landscape.
Day 4: Morning Safari in Bandhavgarh, then road transfer to Kanha
Last morning safari in Bandhagarh. After breakfast, drive to Kanha National Park. The journey takes around 5 to 6 hours through scenic forest regions.
On arrival, check in at your lodge and relax. Kanha is known for its wide meadows and well managed forest zones.
Day 5: Meadow safari and forest drive in Kanha
Start with a morning safari in Kanha, where open grasslands make it easier to spot wildlife. The park is famous for the barasingha, a rare swamp deer.
In the evening safari, you may see tigers, leopards, gaur and herds of deer moving across the meadows.
Day 6: Morning Safari Kanha, then transfer to Tadoba National Park
Wake up early and go on morning safari Kanha. After breakfast, drive to Tadoba National Park. This is a longer journey, usually 6 to 7 hours.
On arrival, check in at your lodge. Tadoba is one of the best parks in India for regular tiger sightings, especially near water bodies.
Day 7 & 8: Full day wildlife drives in Tadoba
Enjoy two full days of morning and evening safaris in Tadoba. The park has a mix of forest and open areas with lakes that attract wildlife.
You have strong chances to see tigers, along with wild dogs, sloth bears, crocodiles and a variety of birds. Summer months often increase sightings near water sources.
Day 9: Last Safari in Tadoba & Travel from Tadoba to Gir via Nagpur and Rajkot
After an early morning safari in Tadoba, return to the lodge for breakfast. Later, drive to Nagpur airport for your flight to Rajkot. From there, continue by road to Gir National Park.
Arrive by evening and check in at your lodge after a long travel day.
Day 10 and 11: Asiatic Lion Safaris in Gir
Spend two days exploring Gir with morning and evening safaris. This is the only place in the world where Asiatic lions live in the wild.
Apart from lions, you may also spot leopards, hyenas, jackals and large herds of deer. The dry forest and open areas make sightings easier compared to dense jungles.
Day 12: Transfer to Ahmedabad and departure
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning. Later, drive to Ahmedabad airport for your flight back to New Delhi.
Your safari ends after covering some of the best big cat habitats in India.
